A trip to the beach is always enjoyable. A trip to the symphony is always enjoyable. But those two together? Boy oh boy, do you have an event that’s worth checking out. On November 9, the 7th Annual Symphony on the Sand event will take place on Anna Maria Island’s Coquina Beach. It’s just as good as it sounds: a beautiful environment, with music from a 45-piece orchestra. There are a number of ticket types available; you can get a table with dinner, or opt for general admission and bring your own seating. Whatever you choose, you’ll be sure to have a great time. This country owes a lot -- or everything -- to the veterans who served their country so bravely. On November 11, you’ll have your chance to salute those brave men and women by joining us for the Veteran’s Day Parade, which starts at 1 pm at the town hall.
