Unit 8 is Sabine’s favorite motel room, as it reflects the time in which she grew up. It has been renovated in the nostalgic style of the 70's, with bright colors, flokati (shag) rug and throw pillows. The only thing missing is the lava lamp. If you want to be a hippie, put a flower in your hair, of course. The focal point of this unit is a large, floral masterpiece by a unknown painter, which the previous owner bought for $10 at a yard sale. A telephone with answering machine is on the nightstand of a queen-size bed that faces the TV/VCR and is mounted to the ceiling.

The mini-kitchen includes dishes and silverware for two, an under-counter refrigerator, coffeemaker, microwave and toaster. A portable 2 burner is located in the cabinet with pans to prepare small dishes, which you can enjoy on a bistro table with 2 chairs. This room has a spacious closet with shelves and hanging rod for clothes.

Being the original size, the bathroom is small with a 12” sink. In 50’s style, it was renovated in black & white tiles and has a European style hose in the shower and a wall blow dryer.
