Summertime is finally here! Sun kissed skin, sunscreen and salty seas, Anna Maria Island is one of the best destinations in Florida to just relax and enjoy the sun. With an island filled with beaches, it's hard to find the perfect beach to spend your day so we broke it down for you! Most people when looking for beaches, want a beach close to delicious food, clean sand and the bluest water so here are our favourite beaches that you definitely need to check out when visiting Anna Maria Island.
Bean Point is known for the whitest sand and the bluest water. Whether you're looking to take some beautiful pictures for Instagram or just want a picture-picture beach to hang out at, Bean Point is just that. You'll get to see all the beautiful wildlife that lives in Florida's waters like dolphins, manatees and colourful fish!
If you’ve looked up Anna Maria Island before, you’ll know that Bradenton Beach is definitely a popular place to visit. With lots of restaurants nearby, a farmers market and easily accessible by the trolley, there's a reason why Bradenton Beach is one of the most popular beaches on the island.
Coquina Beach is also another local favourite. Just like Bradenton Beach, Coquina Beach is accessible by the trolley, has a weekly farmers market and delicious restaurants nearby! You can also rent a bike at Bradenton Beach and bike down if you don’t want to take the trolley to get some exercise in and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
Filled with beautiful beaches, there’s no wonder why Anna Maria Island is a popular destination all year round. Be sure to stay at Haley’s Motel which is conveniently located by many beaches! If you want to travel around Anna Maria Island, be sure to take advantage of the trolley, an affordable way to travel around the island!
