Anna Maria is actually part of a bigger island! You can take a trolley which takes you all around from Maria City Pier to Coquina Beach! Best part of all, it’s free! Make sure to check out these attractions that are accessible by the trolley. Service starts from 6:00 AM to 10:30 PM and comes every 20 minutes.

Bridge Street Pier

Since the Anna Maria Pier is still closed due the hurricane last year, you can always stop by this Bridge Street Pier! The building is painted in a white colour and there is a town clock too! Make sure to get off at the Bridge Street Pier stop to see the beautiful pier.

Coquina Beach

Due to the red tide on Coquina Beach, it is not too ideal to go swimming but fear not! Get off the trolley by Holmes Beach and you will be welcomed by numerous stores that rent bikes! You can choose to ride down to Coquina Beach where there are numerous biking trails, perfect for enjoying the picturesque waters and sightseeing.

Longboat Key Trolley

If you feel like splurging, you can take the longboat key trolley from Coquina Beach to Bay Isles Parkway for only $1.50. Make sure to reserve your seat though as the Longboat Key Trolley can only be rode if you make a reservation ahead of time. There you can enjoy all the numerous beaches that cover Longboat Key. There are also restaurants such as seafood restaurants, Italian restaurants and cafes where you can enjoy fresh seafood the Florida way!
Make sure you’re staying at a great accommodation like Haley’s Motel if you’re looking to explore all over Anna Maria Island! With the trolley being close by, it is extremely easy and hassle-free to experience and explore the Florida beach life.
