Summer is getting closer and closer which means last minute trips are more and more likely to happen. No matter what week you come to Anna Maria Island, there are weekly events that happen all throughout the month of April so fear not! Just book your trip and come to the weekly events.
What would make a farmer’s market better? How about having the market on a beach? Come stroll along Coquina Beach Park on 2650 Gulf Drive South in the Braedenton Beach Area for the Coquina Beach Market! Go for all the fresh produce and food and stay for the beautiful views that are Anna Maria Islands beaches. Markets are held on Sundays and Wednesdays from 10am to 4pm at the park! Make sure to bring your swimsuit and also a bag to hold all the unique things you’ll be buying.
Maybe you don’t like it when sand gets stuck in your shoes… and everywhere else (including your drink and snacks) so go to City Pier Park instead! They host a farmer’s market every tuesday until May 14th at City Pier Park which is located on the corner of Pine Avenue and South Bay Blvd. If you love southwest floridian produce, then you’re in luck! There will be locally baked goods, and locally harvested fresh herbs and plants to purchase! If you want to check it out they’re open from 8:30am - 2pm so you better hurry!
Next time you’re planning a last minute trip to Anna Maria Island, don’t forget to stay at Haley’s Motel. A beautiful accommodation right at the tip of Anna Maria Island so you can get away from the hustle and bustle while enjoying the weekly events that the island has to offer!
